In a meeting between the Federal Government of Somalia and the World Bank that was conducted in Mogadishu and attended by high-ranking government officials and world bank representatives, Prime Minister Hamza stated that the country has overcome a number of challenges and is aiming for progress.

During the conference, Mr. Hamza announced the policy of restructuring government institutions as part of their plan to achieve the new vision of peace, stability, and democracy.

The Prime Minister pointed out that his administration has concentrated on reconciliation, stability, and the achievement of reforms, and that they have built new legal systems, government structures, financial management systems, re- Reorganization of vital institutions, and also achieved a thorough political transformation, and agreed on a strategy to consolidate foreign assistance, based on the goals of the country.

“Somalia is today at a transitional stage marked by its history. The country is emerging from a state known as a ‘failed state’ that has been plagued by civil wars, and is aiming for a new era of peace, stability and democracy, which is ready to attract massive investment.” Prime Minister Hamza said.

The Prime Minister thanked the World Bank for its tireless support, especially in the process of completing the debt relief, which was the reason for facilitating and promoting change.

Mr. Hamza stated that the six pillars of priority in the political program of his government give special priority to the liberation of the areas and the security structure, justice and independent judiciary, Somali consensus, economic growth, development of social issues, and finding Somalis in the world.
